FAQ’s

Confidentiality
Your privacy is maintained online as I will be in a controlled environment, as long as you have a space where you won’t be over heard or interrupted this can be an effective way to work together.
What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy
Counselling often deals with the here and now to help with whatever is bothering you. Psychotherapy is usually more focussed further into the past for reasons you have developed or maintained certain behaviours, beliefs or fears.
Will Hypnotherapy work in one session
it is a powerful tool but the best results are achieved when you commit to a number of sessions. For best results the deeper and more meaningful change that lasts needs several sessions. This can be discussed at assessment tailored to what your goals are.
What if it doesn’t work
Surgery is often performed without the desired result, films don’t always live up to expectations and pain killers don’t always work but what if it works for you 
Is it safe, what will it feel like
Everyone’s experience is different and can depend what you are undertaking hypnotherapy for. If it is for motivation you may feel energised, if it is for anxiety you may feel tired. You may experience a heavy feeling, some feel like they are floating, these are all common and perfectly normal to experience, you will always be completely safe and in control.

Hypnotherapy is a deep state of relaxation, whilst you are deeply relaxed I will use gentle, non-invasive techniques to communicate with your subconscious mind to support you in making the changes you want to make. You always remain in full control during the process.

It is recommended consulting your GP before starting any additional treatments or therapies.
